Childhood Impact
For this project a metaphorical portrait was created using professional lighting techniques, a subject and supporting objects. The idea was to represent the nostalgic feeling of someones childhood and a person looking back on their childhood to see how it impacted them as an adult. There is a division in the photo to represent the childhood activities of objects that impacted her to be the way she is now as an adult. The subject is also holding a mirror of an image of her when she was younger to represent that she is looking back at her childhood self. For the final deliverable, I used advanced printers to print out a high quality image.
For this project I first start generating ideas, learning how to use professional lighting equipment and creating a composition. I collected objects that I wanted to use as well as understanding the emotion I wanted to convey. I used different lighting techniques with layering materials over the equipment to create the nostalgic feeling.
